The boys soccer team followed the girls lead by notching up an emphatic 6-1 victory over a very good St Mochtas Clonsilla in the boys senior cup. Led by their outstanding captain Glen McAuley, the team found the back of the net six times through Glen, Lewis Talbot, Sean Zola and a Ryan Mansfield hat-trick. The defence, led by the superb Nathan Byrne and Paddy Wall, were commanding throughout, backed up fantastically well by Ciaran Rafferty in goals. Sean Zola and Eoghan Walshe put in great performances in midfield and Ryan Mansfield put himself up for a starting place in the next game by scoring his three goals after coming on as a half time substitute. Well done to the whole squad who can now look forward to an exciting season ahead.
