October’s writer of the month was Anne-Marie O’Reilly. She wrote an acrostic Halloween poem. Her poem was scary with lots of description that helps the reader create a mind movie. She even won the Halloween poem competition for 4th class. Check out her poem below!

Halloween

Houses all lit up,

Animals all scared and frightened,

Lightning strikes in the sky,

Leaves rustling on the ground,

Owls hooting in the trees,

Werewolves sneaking around the streets,

Eyes blinking, scared,

Evening turning into night,

Night is over and back to normal.

Brilliant work Anne-Marie!
