Our class studied the Moon and here’s how we got on
We used Geography, Science, Art & even Cookies to help us understand the moon.
We painted moons on paper plates and tried to show the craters on the surface by mixing paint to make different shades of grey.
We also painted one side of our plates black to show the side of the moon that is always hidden to the human eye.
We used cookies to help us understand the different phases that the moon goes through. We ate different amounts of cream off the biscuit to show the different phases: New Moon, Waxing Crescent, First Quarter, Waxing Gibbous, Full Moon, Waning Gibbous, Last Quarter, Waning Crescent.
In Science we used some play dough to make meteorites. We used flour to recreate the surface of the moon and dropped the meteorites onto the flour to make craters.
