We are learning lots about Africa in Room 17. We are focusing on a town in Uganda called Luwero – it’s about an hour north of the capital city of Kampala. We are learning about daily life there – their food and water, market stalls, how they keep the mosquito’s at bay and even their wedding traditions! Qudus, Julianna, Mariam and Nadia have been to Africa and were able to tell us lots about the weather there and the food they ate. We made these African inspired masks out of clay. We also designed a Canzu and a Gomezi – traditional African clothes!
