We have been learning all about the Celts. We researched them and completed group projects. We then presented our projects to the rest of the class. We are also in the process of creating our own wattle and daub houses – keep your eyes peeled for the finished products! We learned some fascinating facts about the Celts.
Did you know……..
The Greeks called them ‘Keltoi’ – this is where the name Celts comes from.
The Celts did not leave behind any writing on paper. However, they did leave Ogham on standing stones.
Samhain marked the beginning of the Celtic New Year.
