Each 5th and 6th class held a Spelling Bee competition in their classroom. The winner from each class then went forward to the school final. This was held during lunch time. I won this round and which meant I got to represent the school at the County Spelling Bee final. It took place in the Pavillion at the Red Cow last Thursday 27th February. I was expecting about 20 other children to be taking part, but there were 88! I was there from 10.15 until 1.30! Unfortunatley I didn’t win, but overall it was a great experience. I got a yellow Spelling Bee t-shirt, a Spelling Bee dictionary, bookmarks and a pen for taking part.
