The Animal Poem

Mum can I please have a pet,
Maybe one that can fly a jet.
Not a shark,
Because I can’t even take him to the park.
Not a fish,
Because he can’t even wash a dish.
Oh no! Not a lion!
I don’t even want to buy him.
Not a whale,
He might hurt my rabbit’s tail.
When I got back to my house,
I saw a tiny little mouse.
Then I said, “He might fit in.
Mum! Don’t even dear put him in the bin!”
