Room 4 have been working on projects for book week for the last 10 weeks (yes TEN weeks!).
We started by reading some big books. We read Jack and the Beanstalk, The Gingerbread Man, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Little Red Hen and The Billy Goats Gruff.
After we read each book we talked about and described the characters, the plot and the setting.
When we knew the books inside out and back to front we split into groups and began planning our projects. Each group created a project board and a shoe box diorama. We also planned and typed up information about the books to stick onto our boards.
The projects were finished just in time for book week. After we practised presenting our projects and put the final touches to our boards and shoe boxes we were ready to show the other 3rd classes all our hard work. We invited the other classes on the 3rd class corridor down to the hall to see our projects. They asked us questions about the books and how we created our project boards and dioramas.
