Today, 15th of March 2016, was Proclamation Day and we raised the Irish flag at a ceremony in the school garden at 12 o’clock.
The Proclamation was read aloud by a parent. The sixth class children read their ‘Proclamation for 2016’.
We sang ‘Amhrán na bhFiann’, ‘Dublin’s Fair City’ and listened to some Irish traditional music.
The Irish Army planes flew over the school during the ceremony.
We loved the ceremony and learning all about the Easter Rising of 1916.
