We had great fun this week doing lots of science experiments in Rm27. We grew a gummy bear by soaking him in water. He grew about 5 times the original size! We then created a beautiful sweet rainbow by pouring warm water in the middle of skittles. Our favourite experiment was seeing how mentos sweets react and act as a catalyst with the gas in Diet Coke. We learnt how sound travels in waves and causes molecules to vibrate to make noise. We saw how rice danced when sound vibrations reached it from the speaker and we made our our own duck call noises using a plastic straw and a strong pair of lungs!
