Match report St.Thomas’ SNS vs St. Aidan’s SNS November 16th 2022

This was our first school match of the new football season, (16th November 2022)

We were delighted to win our first match with 6-0. It was a great start to the season

St. Thomas’ girls’ team players were:

-The match was on the St. Thomas school pitch.

-The coaches were Domhnall and Ms.Quirke

-Our opponents were St.Aidans SNS girls team. We quite enjoyed playing them!

Our new players, making their debut for our team for this year were

-Our jersey colours were plain white with the Ballyoulster crest and St.Aidans were a mix of purple and red.

 

-We all went into the Junior School Breakfast club to talk about our tactics and positions!

The girls who scored were:

Sophie scored 3 goals

Keeley scored 2 goals

Kerrie scored 1 goal

 

People who came to watch were:  Parents, some teachers, some students, SNA’s and Ms.Treacy’s class came up a bit late due to the match finishing early!

 

These were three of our strengths on the pitch

 

1 –  We scored six goals

2 – We held our positions

3 – We had great defence on the pitch

 

St. Aidans were great at kicking the ball quite high for goal kicks!

They held their positions quite well!

They also made great passes to their team!

 

We were delighted to win our first match with 6-0 (even though they had 4 extra players on the pitch)
