Some of the classes in 5th and 6th have been busy participating in the inital stage of the Eason’s Spelling Bee Competition. On Friday afternoon I carried out a tightly fought Spelling Bee between the class winners. Congratulations to Kian Prendergast from Rm 17 who is our overall school winner. He now goes forward to represent St. Thomas’ SNS in the Dublin Final later on in the school year. I was very impressed by the level of spelling ability and the composure showed during the competition. I expect to see them competing in the standard finals of our own school Spelling Bee Competition which we shall be running for the first time since Covid this Easter.
Well done to all the boys and we wish Kian the best of luck in the Dublin Final.
