We were honoured to welcome Ambassador Maruyama of Japan to St Thomas’ today. The Ambassador came to visit the two classes who are learning Japanese as part of the ‘Say Yes to Languages’ programme. The students were so excited to meet him and prepared a self-introduction and mad some gifts for the Ambassador. Ms. Ryan’s and Ms. Glasheen’s classes also performed a famous Japanese song for the Ambassador and his Cultural Attaché Ms. Keiko Nakata.
We were so proud of all the pupils who have been working so hard on their Japanese and who represented the school so well today.
