Ms Collins’ Class and the Garden Crew (Aaron, Alex, Hallie and Patrick) along with Esther, Marie and Ms Collins went on a trip to Malahide Castle & Gardens. This was a treat which was very kindly sponsored by The Heritage Keepers.
We saw a big courtyard and a huge conservatory. In it there were loads of exotic coloured butterflies living in tropical conditions. We got to see the food they like to eat which will help us when we are trying to attract butterflies to our school garden.
We saw a huge pond and an area where the bee keepers collect honey from bees. There were lots of different trees and plants growing there. We did a scavenger hunt in the fairy garden. It was great fun!
To end the day, we had lunch and played in the huge playground.
