The boys’ Gaelic football team managed by Mr. Murphy and Mr. Watson played our first match against Scoil Santain at the start of March. We were beaten on a scoreline of 2-7 to 1-1. Troy and Nathan were our scorers with Nathan scoring a goal and Troy scoring a point. We improved greatly as the game went on and the boys really enjoyed the occasion with great team spirit shown.
In our second match, we played Sacred Heart on the Astro and we beat them by 4-8 to 0-2. Our team played outstandingly well on the day roared on by a sizeable home crowd. The main scorers were Killian, Troy, Lionel and Damien and they were ably assisted by a great effort by the rest of the team. Anthony played really well in goal the last day as did Lionel when he played in goal in the first match.
We are training very hard but we need to work on our hand passing and picking up of the ball off the ground while using the foot. We have one more game to play against Solas Chríost.
