Recently in Room 19 we have been doing a project on bananas for a competition. Firstly, we learned about the growth and transportation of bananas. We couldn’t believe all the work that happens before the bananas get to our lunches. Secondly, we did some experimenting to examine how can you speed up and slow down the way bananas ripen. We put one banana in a brown bag in the classroom, one in the fridge, one in a zip-lock bag and one just left out in the classroom. Finally, for art we decorated the banana into a character or something imaginative.

The prize is a V.I.P. trip to Dublin Zoo for the whole class so fingers crossed!!
