We have been learning about procedural writing in our First Steps Writing this term. We wrote out the procedure on how to make lava lamps, then we tried out the procedure to see if it worked!
First I got a bottle. After that I got water and put in a little bit of water and food colouring. Then I filled the rest of the bottle with oil, put the lid on top and shook it! After that I got an Alka-Seltzer tablet and broke them up. Then I watched it dissolve in the oil, water and food colouring. I really enjoyed making lava lamps, you should try them!
