Just before the Easter break, we celebrated Seachtain na Gaeilge and we had great fun. Some of the highlights for us included the visit from a Viking to our classroom, the ceolchoirm and the céili mór outside. We were very proud of Eamon in our class who is an excellent Irish dancer and performed for the school in the ceolchoirm!  We also tasted some coddle too and we were big fans 🙂

Before the break, we also did some digging in the school garden and this week, we put our green fingers back to work by planting some seeds in the classroom.

Since we came back to school we have been working hard on learning all about the solar system. Did you know that all of the planets, except for Earth, were named after Greek and Roman gods and goddesses? We produced mini projects on each planet and in Art we created our own solar system using chalk pastels. Take a look!

We are all happy to be back in school now and are looking forward to a busy but fun final term in 3rd class 🙂
